Athabasca University

Online Exam Project

Athabasca University’s Online Exam Project is intended to assist in improving our online learning environment. Our goal is to deliver the majority of AU’s exams online within the next several years.

AU’s new online exam system allows all stages of exam processing to be completed in an online environment—from scheduling, to writing, to marking. This project will improve service to students and achieve significant savings.

The new online system, called MuchLearning, was co-developed by AU and Edmonton-based, FastTrack Technologies Incorporated, with support from a Government of Alberta Collaborative Grant.

Important Note: Lotus Notes is a second online exam platform at AU. Lotus Notes, which has been used at AU for 12 years, will gradually be phased out over the next four years as these exams are migrated into the University’s new online exam system. If you are writing an online exam in Lotus Notes and require information or support, please contact the Faculty of Business Student Support Centre.
